COMPOSITES TECHNICIAN - MACHINIST (NIGHT SHIFT)

We are building something special at Alpine.

We are looking to add to our excellent team with individuals who are motivated to significantly contribute to our relentless pursuit of excellence – and ultimately a championship contending team.

We have a new vacancies within our team as a Composite Technician - Machining. This position will be within our Composite team based in Enstone.

 

Composite Technician - Machinist (Night shift) – The Role

Working as part of the Composite Team, candidates will be required to work on a varied range of machines which machine epoxy block patterns and carbon fibre components. They will be expected to understand engineering drawings, symbols and geometric tolerance, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Key objectives include:

· Produce good parts and follow best practices

· Working with team leaders and team mates to provide crucial input on design for manufacturing · Working as part of team with a common goal

· Meeting deadlines set by event calendars and department requirements using company systems including, though not limited to, “Work To Lists” and D365.

· Process workload and release to next operation as soon as possible.

· Produce good parts to specification and in accordance with departments standards.

· Check materials are correct, in accordance with route operations and technical specifications.

· Where non-conformance is found ensure it is recorded, clearly communicated concisely as per departments procedures.

· Ensure workshops and equipment are serviced and /or repaired with appropriate housekeeping regimes, while maintaining compliance with H&S policies.

Composite Technician - Machinist (Night shift) – The Person

· Excellent engineering background – able to read and interpret engineering drawings, models, manufacture parts in accordance with equipment available, GD&T and technical specifications that enable appropriate manufacture of parts

· Proficient use of current department technology.

· PC literate with good working knowledge of the MS office products, particular attention to Microsoft Dynamics 365 and company systems

· The ability to create a positive profile for yourself and the department

· Flexible approach to working, in order to achieve targets, within a fast paced environment.

· High performer with the ability to remain focused and objective under pressure, working to strict deadlines with minimum supervision.

· Clear & effective oral and written communicator

· Well organised with attention to detail

· Team player with a ‘can do’ approach
