We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control and Internal Logistics Manager to join our team here at Williams Racing. In this role you will oversee internal supply for manufacture, ensuring production areas have Raw Materials and Subcomponents kitted and delivered to the required areas as needed. Using our ERP system, you will drive an accurate stock profile allowing for forecasting and MRP to be used where possible, minimising the requirement for Inventory provisions.

As the Inventory Control and Internal Logistics Manager, your main duties will be:

  • Manage the WF1 Inventory team, driving best practice in support of physical inventory accuracy. Focussing on MW Locations but expanding across the entire WF1 Warehouse portfolio.
  • Working closely with the finance team to minimise Inventory provision, providing a real time view of our stock position.
  • Work with the CI champions to develop our internal logistics team and processes to ensure smooth flow through the factory, allowing production to concentrate on core production activities.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory Team and Business Analyst team to make best use of our ERP system and Data, supporting our ability to forecast raw material and standard part use.
  • Develop processes that support the use of consignment stock with our raw material supply partners, focussing on reduction of our raw material holding and removal of obsolete materials.
  • Management of department budget, looking at cost reduction where possible to support Cost Cap Optimisation

We are looking for an Inventory Control and Internal Logistics Manager with the following skills:

  • Previous experience of Dynamics 365, ideally as a super-user.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Practices and Methodology
  • Experience of transformation and centralisation of Inventory Control in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and the ability to make sound decisions and think logically even in high-pressure situations.
  • Can influence, collaborate, and communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels in the organisation.
