About the position


As a member of the Performance Engineering Group, this role will primarily focus on tasks that directly relate to the needs of the race teams and will report to the PEG Group Manager. Candidates should have a solid background in the fundamentals of Vehicle Dynamics and the mechanical systems of the race car. The role will require periodic travel to track tests, lab environment testing, and races. The candidate will need to have experience with Simulation and Driver in the Loop Simulator tools.


  • Improve vehicle performance through optimization of vehicle performance parameters.
  • Work closely with the race teams and provide technical support as directed.
  • Utilize various tools to optimize performance including but not limited to the 7-Post, Simulator, Simulation, etc.
  • Support other departments as needed to provide requested information for development purposes.
  • Tasks will be assigned by the PEG Manager.
  • Play a key role in supporting the team's DiL testing sessions and DiL tool development.
  • Support testing efforts for teams and the WFT program, attending all track testing events.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (i.e., Mechanical Engineering).
  • 3+ years of work experience in the field of auto racing or similar technical environment.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
  • Experience with Data Acquisition hardware and software.
  • Basic programming capabilities.
  • Comfort level with data reduction and analytics to draw conclusions from technical testing.
